Museums
This week we feature the Manchester Museum of Transport in Manchester, UK. Classic Car BooksThe Cobra in the Barn Great Stories of Automotive Archaeology
This book covers one of the most talked about subjects of the old car hobby. Author Tom Cotter has gathered an entertaining selection of barn find-type stories, with the help of contributors, including respected authors Peter Egan and Ken Gross --Classic & Sports Cars. True tales of barn cars, found and restored, plus the occasional big fish that got away --AutoWeek. I'll recommend this one, which more than lives up to it's subtitle as a collection of "great stories of automotive archaeology". Cobra recounts the tales of some three dozen wonderful old vehicles that were lovingly recovered from burial in barns and other forgotten places, then lovingly restored back to life --Detroit News. Dream cars lost - and found. It's the fantasy of every car enthusiast: Pull a tarp off a pile in a barn, or hear a farmer say "there's an old car out back" and discover a classic collectible such as a Hemi 'Cuda, a rare Porsche, or a Jaguar E-Type racer.
